As with many others, I bemoaned the news that Domino was shutting its beautifully stylish doors. Several alternatives have filtered through my fav design blogs and one that I’d like to share is Notebook Magazine.

Call them what you wish; I absolutely love the shape that is Nigella Lawson’s signature. Perfect as a hostess gift, the entertainment set will be a reminder of a happy holiday gathering. The dimple detail on the tray helps to keep the bowls in their proper places. US$29.99
Based in Mt Kisco, New York, Brooks Custom handcrafts these stylish kitchen and bathroom additions. Finished with marine grade varnish, the custom countertops come in wide plank, standard plank and edge grain styles. The counters can be constructed in a variety of methods, thicknesses and edge styles. They are available in bamboo, beech, birdseye maple, butternut, hickory, iroko, lacewood, mahogany, padouk, red oak, teak, tigerwood, walnut and many more wood species. The results are simply stunning.
Sebastian Brajkovic developed this brilliant prototype table. I am always hopeful that I could incorporate prototype ideas into my home. Such inspiration! Grow lights are suspended above the table plants. I believe that by seeing plants grow during each meal you will honor the food on your plate. (Also handy for snacking on tasty greens!)
